The sun creates a silver morning from behind the clouds.
Passing the morning perched atop weathered driftwood.
Tall trees stand guard along the grassy perimeter.
A cluster of tiny mushrooms spring up from an old tree stump.
A small wall along the waterway protects a corner garden from high tide.
Where did it come from, and when did the journey begin?
Nestled in the end of a fallen tree, this caught my eye while walking along a wooded path on the coast of southern Washington. Although it rates high on my “ick factor” scale, I couldn’t help but snap a photo.
