All was quiet today as we gazed at this potentially active volcano. Rising just over 14,000 feet, Mount Shasta is the second highest peak in the Cascade Range of western North America.
A break in the trees along the Mount Ashland snowshoe trail revealed a breathtaking view of Mount Shasta.
