Sharing the beauty of our world

Long Distance Trekking

While capturing the grandeur of the Mont Blanc landscape, Reg was reduced to a mere speck on trail.

Wildflowers were in bloom during our July Tour du Mont Blanc trek.

It was a gorgeous day for our climb up and over Devil’s Staircase, the highest point along the West Highland Way. As we headed down the other side, the landscape was breathtaking.

Our spring hike on the Great Glen Way led us to an overnight stop in Fort Augustus, Scotland, a lively little town along the banks of Loch Ness. No sign of Nessie though.

A glorious springtime day along Scotland’s West Highland Way.

Cloudy skies threatened our spring trek along Scotland’s West Highland Way.

After two relaxing nights in the resort village of Champex, Switzerland, we were anxious to tackle the homestretch of the Tour du Mont Blanc.

A July trek along Europe’s Tour du Mont Blanc found us picnicking in some pretty spectacular settings. The Col Ferret, a climb up to 8,169 feet, forms border between Italy and Switzerland, and provides a spot for a well deserved rest.
