The last stop on our journey along The Way of St. Francis.  Rome, Italy.


A misty morning climb from Spoleto to Monteluco.


The Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.  After two nights in Assisi, we resume walking The Way of St. Francis tomorrow.


The Way of St. Francis is a walking Pilgrimage that begins in Florence and follows the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi through Tuscany, the Umbrian mountains and into Rome.  So far, it’s been a spectacular walk.


The sheer beauty of this scene along the Camino de Santiago momentarily stopped my husband in his tracks.



Walking this ancient Pilgrimage sometimes felt like a trip back through time.
